Our Biography

"Lunar Sonic Project" was founded in 1994 by Gene Loebert (keyboards/mixing) and Jo Gerett (guitar/vocals). Their common roots are in the 60's and 70's, so it is not surprising that the style and arrangement of their own songs can be associated with these varied and creative decades. Influences from bands like the Beatles, 10CC and Genesis can be heard in their music.
The lyrics and music invite both quiet listening and dancing. Although they do not conform to today's common clichés and listening habits in the field of pop and rock music, they succeed in releasing and unfolding new creative impulses by reviving and preserving original stylistic elements.

For the project, the present music is a first step in this direction. By merging and blending various musical influences, Gene Loebert and Jo Gerett create a sound world all their own, embodying nostalgia and innovation in equal measure. They take the freedom to explore their own musical ideas while staying true to their roots.

"Lunar Sonic Project" wants to take the listeners on a journey through time with their music, touch them with their melodic and emotional compositions and make them think. They manage to create a connection between the past and the present and to unite the best of both worlds with their music.
